Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you actually want to know about our big day.
When is the wedding?
We're getting married on September 12th, 2026, at The St. Regis Washington D.C. — a place that somehow feels both classic and a little cinematic. We can't wait to celebrate right in the heart of the city we call home.
Where is the wedding?
The St. Regis Washington D.C. in Washington, DC. The St. Regis is a historic landmark in the heart of D.C., just a few blocks from the White House.
The venue has full wheelchair access and accessible restrooms. Valet parking is available, and there are plenty of nearby garages if you prefer to self-park.
See our Travel & Lodging page for hotels and getting there
What should I wear?
Formal Attire. If you’ve been holding onto a tux or a long gown waiting for the right moment, this is it. Dark suits and elegant midi or floor-length dresses are perfect too.
Think timeless, elegant, and polished, while still feeling like yourself.
When should I RSVP?
Please RSVP at your earliest convenience — it helps us get final numbers to our caterer (and prevents us from sending polite reminder texts).
Can I bring a plus-one?
We'll answer your question with another question: did your invitation say that you could bring one?
Are kids invited?
Nope!
What if I have dietary restrictions?
No worries at all — just note it when you RSVP. We'll make sure the chef takes care of you.
How do I get there?
The St. Regis is conveniently located in downtown D.C. If you're flying in:
- Reagan National Airport (DCA) — 10 minutes
- Dulles International Airport (IAD) — 45 minutes
The venue is also accessible via the DC Metro (McPherson Square or Farragut North stations).

What's the weather like in September?
D.C. in early fall is usually chef's kiss: mild days, cooler nights. Expect temps in the 60s–70s and maybe pack a light jacket for the evening. Check the forecast closer to the date.
Who do I reach out to if I have questions?
You can always email us at hello@nickandryann.com and we'll get back to you quickly — or at least once Ryann proofreads Nick's reply.
Will there be parking?
Yes! The St. Regis offers valet parking for $55. There are also several nearby parking garages if you prefer to self-park (typically $20-35 for the evening).
We highly recommend using rideshare services like Uber or Lyft, especially if you plan to enjoy the open bar. The venue is very easy to get to and from downtown D.C.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We're doing an unplugged ceremony — phones away, please! Our photographer will capture all the moments, and we promise to share them quickly.
But once cocktail hour starts, snap away! We'd love to see your photos (and your dance moves) on social media.
What about gifts or a registry?
Your presence is the best present, truly. But if you'd like to contribute, we'd be grateful for help with our honeymoon adventures.
Visit our registry page for details.
What time should I arrive?
Doors open at 4:30 PM, and the ceremony starts promptly at 5:00 PM. We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to find your seat, grab a drink, and settle in.
Check out our full event schedule for what happens when.
Is there a hotel room block?
Yes! We've reserved room blocks at several hotels near the venue, all within walking distance or a quick ride away.
See our Travel & Lodging page for booking links and discount codes.
